Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 September 2026
This explains what personal data My Forever Pet collects when you use this website or place an order, and what your rights are over it.
Who we are
My Forever Pet, based in Tutbury, Staffordshire, UK, is the "data controller" for the information described here. Contact us via our contact page with any privacy question or request.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, delivery address, and phone number, given at checkout.
- Your pet's name and any other details you choose to submit for engraving.
- Order details — what you ordered, when, and its status.
- Anything you send us directly, for example via the contact page or email.
- If you sign up to our mailing list, your email address, and the date you signed up — see "Marketing emails" below.
We don't collect payment card details ourselves — see "Payment providers" below.
Why we collect it
To fulfil your order (make, personalise, and deliver your piece), to email you updates about it, and to respond if you contact us. We only use your data for these purposes.
Marketing emails
If you sign up to our mailing list, we'll email you occasionally about new designs and offers. We only do this because you've actively asked to — signing up is always optional and separate from placing an order. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, or you can ask us directly via our contact page. Unsubscribing doesn't affect emails about an order you've placed, since those aren't marketing.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of other companies to run the shop, each only for that purpose:
- Stripe and PayPal — to process card and PayPal payments.
- Resend — to send order confirmation, production, shipping, and marketing emails.
- Our delivery courier — to get your order to you.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we're legally required to for accounting and tax purposes, and delete other personal data when it's no longer needed for the reasons above. If you're on our mailing list, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
- Correct anything that's inaccurate.
- Delete your data, where we're not required to keep it (for example, for tax records).
- Restrict or object to how we use it.
To exercise any of these, contact us via our contact page. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always the one on this page.
